Many thanks to all the Paranormals blog tour hosts and everyone who participated! We can now announce the winner of the grand prize, a Kindle Fire tablet!

And the randomly selected winner is...Unabridged Andra!

This makes me particularly happy, since Andra has been a big supporter of my books and has even posted one of the first reviews of Fairy Metal Thunder, the first book in my new series.

Congratulations to Andra!  The Fire was pre-ordered the first day they became available and should be coming sometime later this month, as soon as Amazon starts shipping them.

"Dear Darcy": An advice column by Darcy Metcalf

It's a little-known fact that Darcy Metcalf, probably my favorite secondary character in the Jenny Pox books, wrote an advice column for the school newspaper.  Buried in Books has discovered and published the final edition of her column, before she quit for personal reasons early in the second semester:

The blog tour, the fairy book, the Zombiepalooza

Hi, welcome to today's blog post.

First, I wanted to mention a new review of Fairy Metal Thunder, by Mimi Valentine:

Mimi Valentine

That was nice, wasn't it?

Next, a reminder that I'm doing a blog tour for the Jenny Pox books starting Monday, October 17. Prizes include autographed books (which I don't do often for giveaways because I'm lazy about going to the mail center), several pieces of Jenny Pox-themed jewelry, and a fancy new Kindle Fire tablet. You can learn by clicking the tour badge, which follows presently:

And finally, don't forget to keep up with this year's Zombiepalooza on Amanda Hocking's blog:

(Yes, that's last year's Zombiepalooza logo, but it's just come shambling back from the grave, groaning and hungry like some kind of...of...hmm, I'll try to think of a metaphor.)

V-blog review of the Jenny Pox trilogy, and Zombiepalooza!

Ashley at Bookish Brunette does an overall "trilogy review" of all three books on her new video.  I'm going to embed it right, here, too, 'cause I never get to post videos:

Also, don't miss the second year of Zombiepalooza on Amanda Hocking's blog - I should have posted about it on October 1, but it's not too late to join in this celebration of the societal contributions of zombies. I'll be over there a couple of times this month!

And Jordan at Ink Puddle just posted her review of Alexander Death, which I really enjoyed. So read that! And I think that's all the news for now...

Every Witch Way But Wicked: A Halloween anthology to promote literacy

So, about a dozen writers (including me) put together a collection witchy stories for Halloween.  It's just 99 cents on Amazon and Nook.  The proceeds go to Kids Need to Read, a group that provides books to schools, public libraries, juvenile offender facilities, dropout recovery programs, urban afterschool organizations, and special education classes.

My contribution is called "Cats and Dogs" and it's friggin' adorable.  Other contributors include: Debora Geary, Terri Reid, Wren Emerson, Rose Pressey, Misty Evans, Dale Mayer, Camilla Chafer, Edie Ramer, Toni LoTempio, Christiana Miller and Barbra Annino.  Barbra also organized the collection and made everything happen, so extra thanks to her!

Fairy Metal Thunder reviews, blog tour update, and more!

Yep, I've been slacking on blog posts this week.

First, I'm happy to let you know about some new blogger reviews of Fairy Metal Thunder.  I'm working on the second book in this series now, and overall I'm really enjoying writing these stories.  I'm glad other people are enjoying it, too.  Check out new reviews from Unabridged Andra and Bending the Spine.

Unabridged Andra

Thanks, Andra and Rebecca!

There's also a new review of Jenny Pox at Unabridged Bookshelf, and a new review of Tommy Nightmare by Kelly at Reading the Paranormal. Thanks, ladies!

Finally, for the upcoming Paranormals Blog Tour, featuring Jenny and friends, we're changing the grand prize to  one of those flashy new Amazon tablets, the Kindle Fire.  So that will be a fun prize to win!
