Midsummer Dream Fair Day 7: The Psychic Tent

For today's post, I'm doing a quick interview with Ozma, a psychic who has a special interest in the world of the fae!  Watch for the special giveaway at the end of the post!

Q. Thanks for coming by the blog and working the psychic tent today, Ozma!

A. Thank you so much for having me here, I'm so honored to be at the Midsummer Fair. The faeries are telling me they're quite pleased to be here too ;)

Q. How would you describe your psychic gift? For example, is it sensory or purely intuitive? Do you use divination tools like cards?

A. My primary psychic gift is clairvoyance, the gift of Sight, so basically, I’m highly sensory, my specialty is Vision. Working with people, I use the Rider Waite Tarot Cards as a neutral tool to help me see into a person’s soul and situation. I love the cards! The cards are beautiful and stimulating, they’re so visual for me and this helps focus the lens I’m seeing through to the future. The cards present the information quickly and accurately. I work with the unseen realms, faery energies. I can tell your story to you, it’s like reading your own personal book from the Collective Consciousness. I channel information, not spirits. I’m not that kind if psychic, lol.

The cards are a neutral tool for details and to keep me objective with clients. When I do readings over the phone, I am there, with the client. People like to know how I do this. I can work distantly, remote viewing, because I’m psychic. We all meet at the same place. With remote viewing or Clairvoyant Sight, I travel distance through time, so I can see the room, often what they’re wearing, the color of the furniture or environment, details. I focus on details, the room itself, and if they glance at a picture, I can pick that up too.
It’s like seeing a person’s spiritual or emotional fingerprint. Everyone has this, the distinct “feeling,” connected to the person, like when you think of someone you have a certain set of feelings associated with that person different from another person.

For doing complete and accurate professional readings, I need a warm connection with the questioner for the reading. The cards are the screen and I’m the projector, so when I hear the person’s voice, name, and date of birth, while shuffling the cards, I instantly connect with their energy and the story unfolds in my mind like a movie. Then I’ll put down the cards, close my eyes and channel the movie as it plays in my head. Sometimes I hear a word or name to tell the client. The information is often very specific. I see things that contradict the traditional meanings of the cards and logic. That’s when things get exciting and I just go with that.

(on Faeries)

When asking questions or making wishes, careful what you wish for because the faeries may grant it. I have a deep relationship with nature spirits, faeries. I see them in the cards and in all things. I can read the Elements, often without trying.

There are thousands of spirits embedded in the trees at this special place where I commune with nature’s spirits. They’re everywhere, in everything. I can see the fire faeries in flames, the Undine spirits of water, and Earth elementals. In nature, they change shape, make faces and move around, some are quite animated. Sometimes I’ll see several, superimposed on one another. The faeries constantly reveal themselves to me in trees and rocks and the mountains.

People tend to think of them in places that are gray and green like Ireland, but there are many species of fey living here in the desert. We have our share of shapeshifters and faeries in the southwest, lol. Faeries are everywhere. The faeries can even occupy inanimate non living objects. They simply attach to the “element” spirit of wood, for instance, in paper, or metal elementals.

I believe these are the spirits at the subatomic level, ready to take form. They are the very matter of things, the invisible worlds. They are totally, natural, supernatural. Sometimes when I walk by the mountain and waterfalls, they’re quite visible and they want to be seen. Usually they’re more active before a storm or after it rains. They live in and around the trees. They live in homes. And sometimes if many people are around they hide. I can still see them in nature but sometimes they just go flat or remain still and camouflaged. I’ve watched toddlers' reactions to the faeries most adults don’t see. Children see them and so do animals. They’re just there. It’s startling how they suddenly appear.

Q. When did you first realize you had a gift different from most people?

A. I was born this way, lol. I can’t imagine life any other way ;) I’ve always remembered my dreams as vivid and epic stories since 3 years old. We lived on Long Island, New York, two blocks from Ocean Drive, Amityville, but I don’t think that had anything to do with it. ;) I do remember our big green backyard and the huge tree where many faeries lived. Some of them scared me. I also saw them in my dad’s vegetable garden and living in the ocean and in seashells on the beach.

My first memory include one particular vision, when I was an infant. I remember the distinct otherworldly feeling of the faeries, like another family who saw me into this world. I remember being surrounded
by the brightest light, not to sound cliché, but seriously, it happened. I remember this sudden awareness as a baby, having knowledge of another world. My visions have been with me my entire life, and never understand others not having these experiences. :)

Q. I noticed you’re working on some paranormal fiction – How does being psychic influence that? Will your novels be more accurate than most paranormals?

A. OMG, I read some amazing stories and think, how does the author know that? I know your stories are vivid and beautiful and haunt me long after I’ve finished the reading!! That’s a gift!! I believe writers and all artists, visionaries and channel Greatness from the same “Source” that fuels creativity. I think it all comes from that same place. I write supernatural thrillers, Steampunk and romance and love reading the same, especially, all things faery ;) Some books are so vivid, I’m sure the authors are channeling past lives or other
realms. Making art is making magic. Imagination is another dimension of the mind we can use as a tool to access other realms. Writing has become just another tool for me to channel and document my
relationship and experiences with the elemental kingdom, my dreams, my visions, and just the beautiful strangeness in my life. I live in Arizona and the southwest has its own diverse elemental kingdom! My
current series is based on a powerful experience I had with the elemental spirits in New Mexico.

You know, the Desert has its own character, a certain quality that is exhilarating. There’s a huge faery population living here. Every culture has its own faery legends. The Southwest has stories of
chupacabra, skinwalkers and Day of The Dead. OMG, I love the Day of The Dead!! I build my own DOD shrines. My writing is also inspired by many Native American and Mexican legends here in the southwest.
Sometimes the faeries here get quite big. They can reveal themselves as mythic creatures or “humans.” They are plentiful in nature and if the faeries like you, they'll make themselves visible.

Small warning, if the faeries choose to reveal themselves to you – you may start seeing them and not be able to stop.

  19. Howdy this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code
with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  26. I used your image to help me image my drow character. Here is the story.
    Felis Demise

Originally in another life was a life cleric, either a half elf or a full elf. He was lord of the trees (self proclaimed of course), and was a neutral chaotic character. However, one day, his life and existence came to an end when out of nowhere, he burst into flames and his remains were scattered to the wind. His very existence was also erased from the minds and hearts of all that knew him, even to the point where his name is forgotten. What had caused his death was a mistake in the world of the gods, seeing as they threw away his file by mistake and when a god does that, it erases that person from existence. The roman goddess Arachne, finding his lost file, reincarnated his being back into existence as a dark elf and gave him his new name, Felis Demise. Having been reborn, Felis swore an oath to the Goddess, promising her that he will be her servant to his eventual death. Felis left her dominion and became an acolyte at the spider god temple in some forest, and he left to seek out his fortune to help support the temple. He is a bit wary of others, and will kill if it is legal in the law that permeates the land. His main allegiance is to the spider goddess, and all others are insignificant in comparison.

This is a real character I have, and I will use him in any d and d games I come across.
